George Cruikshank Junior

George Cruikshank had a nephew, Percy Cruikshank, son of Robert Cruikshank, who signed himself "George Cruikshank Junior".  Percy's son George Percy, who worked for his famous uncle, was the next George Cruikshank Junior. Uncle George Cruikshank's temper rose and he suggested a change of name to G. Percy Cruikshank which was indignantly refused. Instead the name George Calvert was chosen after the boys mother. Probably he reverted to George Junior after the death of George Cruikshank the elder. Thierry Smolderen has posted an 1880 'Kru-Shan-Ki' page from The Illustrated London News HERE.
